Failure to launch

No, not talking about my college kid living at home forever.
A month ago I bought a Benjamin NP , Model BW1K77NP, and had great luck in sighting it in over the course of about 60 to 80 shots. Satisfied, I put it away in a controlled temp/humidity environment for a week, and got it out to do some more shooting.
The gun does not seem different, but it will not launch a pellet. When I try to fire, it makes a pupp pupp pupp sound (I think gas venting near the breach), and I can cock/recock the gun and trip the trigger repeatedly and not have the pellet move. If I move the pellet manually into the barrel 1/8 of an inch below flush using a wood skewer, it will fire the pellet from the bore.
I have only used Meisterkugeln Professional Line pellets, 8.2grain, 0.177 caliber.
I've read through posts up here but not found a thread with a similar problem mentioned.
The O Ring seems to be normal, seated properly, intact. The barrel folds and then extends into locked position in a normal way. (By normal, I mean the same way it did out of the box)
Is there a repair manual, breakdown/disassembly method and reassembly, etc...? I have NO experience with airguns and would sure appreciate some wisdom and suggestions.
Thanks.

Sounds like the gas piston failed. If you bought it new, return it, if used you will probably have to send it to Crosman for repair because they won't ship the gas piston. If you feel adventurous, McMaster Carr has gas springs. You would have to take yours apart to get dimensions( be sure to use a spring compressor)

Yes, contact your dealer or Crosman. There's lots of info on repairing and tuning in the library, but why buy replacement parts for a new gun? As the gun is almost brand new, you should be able to sweet-talk either into a return shipping label. You'll lose a few weeks, but best to start out with a "normal" gun.

Update:
Ok, ! Y'all's diagnosis was spot on. Cabelas swapped out the gun for a new Titan no muss no fuss, and the difference is like night and day.
The first one never had the power this one has. WOW. What a difference. Having never had such a powerful air rifle I had no idea what I should expect in performance, so I've had to adjust my awareness upwards.
I zeroed the sights in to 50 to 60 yards, and can see a huge difference in accuracy as well as kinetic impact. Skunks don't know what's coming
.
I sure appreciate your help and advice. Thanks.
