And it has arrived.

So my first born just arrived. I ordered from Pyramyd Air. I purchased a Benjamin Titan GP. I received a Titan NP. No difference from what I understand. It's of course dieseling. I'm curious if I should clean the barrel or not. I attached the centerpoint that came with it, I've put a couple through it and of course it's off, but it's by no means all over the place.
And why is everyone complaining about the trigger? I've dealt with much much worse triggers on powder burners. My only complaint was the box the Benji was in, was a little beat up.

Wow that barrel was nasty. now that it's clean, it actually sounds a touch louder. Is that normal?

Probably 'passing the gas' more efficiently.
You should have more power too.

Titan NP or Titan GP NP...
take the stock off and make sure the barrel pivot bolt is good and snug
that made a ton of difference on my Titan GP NP

I haven't had much time to shoot it, I did clean the barrel before I went to the real range with my powder burner, to finish up a class. It's a little early in the game, but I can tell I dislike this scope pretty badly. I think I may change that out before to long. I'll probably go through this tin of JSB's before I worry to much about it needing a tune or a trigger. Everything seems nice and tight, and it really has no slop in it at all.

My Titan is a spotty shooter. Sometimes it shoots accurately and other times can hardly hit the side of a barn. Thanks for the tip concerning the barrel pivot bolt.

Ordered a new UTG scope for 77 dollars and put almost a 100 through it today. It's shooting pretty hard to the right for the Centerpoint that came with it. That's a horrible scope. Everything still feels nice and tight and smooth.
This Scope. newbielink:https://www.pyramydair.com/product/utg-3-9x40-rifle-scope-mil-dot-reticle-1-4-moa-1-tube-3-8-dovetail?a=4232

I just fitted some brass barrel washers to my Titan GP....
got tired of the accuracy going to pot every 40-50 shots.
now it shoots spot on if I do my part out to the 18 yd
limit of my back yard.
I already have the GTR trigger, HUGE improvement.
I will say that the Crossman Fury I also have (same trigger
group) did improve drastically over about 750 shots but
still not in the same league as the GTR.
i'm up in the air about what do next, my personal list is
better scope, TKO-LDC, deburr/lube and lap the bore..
just not sure in what order...

The only toss up for me at this point is if it doesn't start to settle in by the last half of this tin. Is if I should send it to a crossman rep, or a tuner. One I may get back something worse, the other I lose the 'warranty.' How are the guys at the service stations anyway?

try some Crossman Premier Hollow Points. $9 from walmart
mine has shot ~1" at 10 yards with those once I figured out
I needed to adjust the barrel pivot screw..
I have been told these guns will shoot 18.1 very well after
bore lapping.
barrel pivot adjustment test:
cock it, point the stock straight up and the barrel should hold
position when pointed 90 degrees straight out from the stock.
the adjustment is 3 screws to get stock off and takes less than
5 minutes.
the adjustment to tighten enough to "just" hold position. I was
after mine often enough I notched my stock at the pivot screw.
when I got tired of that I spent an hour and fitted brass washers

It holds position. It's shooting high this morning, but that's ok. It's at least still a really tight group for such a new rifle. I'll take pictures here in a little bit of the rifle, my trap, and reactive back stop.

I'll add pictures in the morning. That Center Point Scope is just horrible. If I change the windage, it changes the elevation. It's just horrible. And on top of that cocking the rifle no longer produces the smooth sound. It has a fine grinding sound too it. So I've taken the scope off it. Just gotta find someone to work on it.

Kara,
Sounds like you need to do a lube tune and deburr....

That was what I suspected. I'll have to find someone to do it, I don't have anything necessary to pull it apart and do that. Plus it being fairly new. I don't just want to return it to Pyramyd Air. I figure with a 150 dollar air rifle, I'm looking at having to go through this either way. I'm just trying to figure out if I should worry about my year warranty or not. Here's a picture of me testing to see if it holds it's angle to 90 degrees. I've read enough to know I'm going to need to have this work done eventually. How much should I reasonably expect to pay to get all that done? How much compared to a tune? Most importantly throw away the warranty and get the stuff done? Worry about the warranty and let's see how Crosman does it?

hmmmm....my Titan has gotten smoother over time (still less than 500 through it)
...grinding...I wonder if the cocking linkage slider has taken a hike?...you can see it
just by looking through the bottom of the stock...I don't have a pic from that angle
but I have this side view from when I fitted the brass washers..the gizmo is circled
it's job is to keep the linkage from dragging along the bottom of the action during
cocking... the round nub to the left rides on a shelf cut in the stock and guides the
linkage along the action
