I've been shooting a Benjamin Trail NP, which is very similar to the NPS you have, for two years and here's what I've learned so far:1. 100 pellets is not NEARLY enough to have broken in the barrel yet. Don't even sweat so-so groups until you've run 300-400 pellets down the barrel. Just get a tin of whatever's cheapest and plink cans in the yard.2. Have you cleaned the barrel? They're often shipped pretty dirty, and a good cleaning can make a big difference.3. Most people here seem to have really good luck with Crosman Premiere pellets. Give them a shot; they're a good baseline pellet and cheap at Walmart.4. Are you still using the factory trigger? If so, GET A REPLACEMENT TRIGGER!: http://charliedatuna.com/ I cannot stress how much difference it makes.5. You say you're using a military hold. Do you mean the artillery hold? I tried that for a while as well, and my results were so-so. What I finally figured out was that my particular gun actually liked a tight grip, pulled back firmly into the shoulder. Not what you'd expect from a break-barrel rifle, but I've heard others here say it worked for them too. Also, are you shooting off sandbags? That's generally not recommended for springers and piston guns.
full tune, change piston seal, airguntoyz mod, trigger upgrade to my NPAW. Shooting 1/4 groups or slightly larger using the original centre point scope/bipod/shooting table at 13 yards.Love this rifle now. Shoots better than my modded 1377
Look at my thread in the gamo section http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=48072.msg453404#msg453404 and you'll see why

Daisy pointed pellets don't usually get along well in most piston guns. The metal tin CPHP pellet is a good place to start. You can expect some flyers with these but you should get an idea of potential. Then you can move on to try better pellets.

Thanks.Trust me I didnt want to beleive it either but when a vetern tells you to check something check it! These guys are good, you'll never get this advice from the manufacter either. Thihs is why this site is so good.
The major detriment to accuracy in my Remington NPSS, which is the same rifle as your Benji NPS, lied in the barrel pivot washers. I replaced my plastic pivot washers with Bronze Thrust Washers from the TrueValue hardware store and it did wonders. You want them to be between .062 to .065 in thickness. Before the swap, my rifle would shift groups around the bullseye at random due to the barrel locking up differently owing to the play in the barrel pivot point. CHANGE THE TRIGGER OUT, the stock trigger is atrocious, simply awful. Changing it out gives the rifle a whole new character.
What are the 'better pellets'?
