Well I rid my 2G kit and straighten my sleeve out and now she shooting 14.3 grains at 854 fps and can actually hit what I want now.My power chasing was nice while it lasted .Still going to put my PG2 in and see how she does Tom said I will be amazed. If you want a upgrade spring only I suggest a ProMag spring form jm.

Going from magnum to ultra magnum then back to magnum.
Seems like you went through what many of us have.
Yes the pg2 kit is sweet, the Pro mag spring does not fit the vortek kit. The pro mag spring is an excellent spring.
I have one, plus the oem spring but running vortek. When the vortek spring breaks will run the Pro mag, with a ptfe treated washer.
Power is nothing with out accuracy, every body walks this path though.

I definitely like the ProMag spring in my R.A.M better than the 2g kit. It is alot smoother and has a couple of thousand shots on it and is still within 10-15fps of the new 2g kit. Did he quit selling the 2g kit. Was on his site yesterday and all I saw were the pg2 kits?

I noticed it's not there anymore. The 2G kit for my 34P is working great shooting 14.3 grains at 720 fps. and smooth shooting and quiet no spring noise.

I also have A Macarri spring in my Air Hawk but it is a .177 thinking of getting the .22 barrel for it. Thought of getting the pg2 for my 350 but being .177 I really don't need the extra power and I am satisfied with it as is, but the next Diana I get will be a 350 in .22.

The 2g super mag is great in .22 and .25. You just got to learn to shoot them. And build up the arms for the cocking.Really change my 350 pros. Jms kit are still a top line spring and guide as well. Love his soft kit in the 350 .22 smooth as silk.

Good to see you got the kinks work out. Im running the pg2 kits in 3 of my guns and man are they sweet. Macarri make some good springs also got those in my gamo's. They are bullet proof tuff and smooth but for my rws guns the vortek kits are my choice. From all the reading seems like the super strong g2 springs from vortek would be best suited for the 25 cal magnums where you would need the extra steam to get them big pellets moving.

They worked good in 22 also but the whole thing on the .142 wire on the 2G is it bent my sleeve and without the sleeve you can feel the spring when cocking so I sent both back for the .130 wire 2G kits and I'm running my 177 cal 350 mag on the new 2G and it's pushing 20 ft.lbs. on what ever pellet I'm using so this new kit is good in my books plus I'm using my sleeve. Now just have to wait on the other to get in for my 22 cal. 350.

I thought you were not to use the sleeve on the vortek kits?

On the 2G kits with the .142 wire is a little to much for the 350's ,he stated with or without sleeve and he doesn't show them on the vortek site anymore, he's revamping the new 2G kits. This new kit I have is working great with the .130 wire along with the sleeve being used, the way I use it just pull the old spring and spring guide out and install the 2g kit in place and leave the piston wieght and sleeve in place.

Well I am confused. I used his older vortek kits that reqired the removal of the sleeve where as Jm does not remove it. On install I did as you for JM at first. Then when I went back in I inserted the upper guide in the sleeve. The early vortek kits had a sleeve on the bottom and I could see why you would not use the upper sleeve. But the new kits are different Also on the Jm power kits you remove the weight. and on the soft kits I think you remove the weight. As I said I am really confused now. They all shoot great as is but

I know the pg2 and 2g kits are totally different.I'm just afraid to leave the sleeve out on the 2G kit cause of the long stroke of the 350's, but mine is working great with it in.

Well that is what has my concern. I think it might need it . I am running as I said the newest kits in the 350 .22 and the 350 .25 without the sleeves. Glad you made this post. I understand the OD of the spring vs the ID of the sleeve. Are you sure that the spring bent the sleeve. Only reason I ask is that I have bent them when in stalling the cocking rod. Does not take much to bend them.

Mine got bent after about 200 shots or more I was shooting one day and felt something different so I put it thru my chrony and one shot was 500 and was at 790 with 19.09 grain so when I pulled it apart my sleeve was buggered up and had a tough time sliding it apart so I left the sleeve out and noticed I could feel the spring when cocking that's when I went back to promag spring for now until my 130 2 g kit gets here I sent both my kits back at two different times that why I have one on my 177 cal. And just sent my 2 one off this week for my 22 cal. I would love to try the pg2 out I can see why the sleeve is not needed on that one . I hope I spelled everything right I'm doing this on my iPhone and my fingers are having a hard time typing.
