Titanium air tube

If anyone has some spare titanium tube or round stock laying around go ahead and send it to me. I will gladly have it machined into my new air tube so this beast lightens up a little. And if it works I will tell everyone how awesome you are for helping me out. Thanks in advance!

If someone made a batch of titanium tubes in both long and short versions for the at44 they would sell like hot cakes. I would take one of each right off the bat.

At $4 per inch plus the machining, you might be in the minority.... Did anyone calculate the weight savings?....

Solid round stock. Research shows it to be machined like 316 stainless. Slow and with coolant.

4 oz. doesn't seem much . I would have guessed closer to a lb.

Titanium is 1.67 times the weight of aluminum, 1.64 times the strength of 7075 and 2.44 times the strength of 6061.
Found on search for comparison.
So if you could use half the amount it would save about 16% of the weight.
If the ally tube weighs 2lbs you save about 5 ounces.
