0310 production versus 0910 like the other ones.
Barrel lock up is a lot tighter, detent spring has plunger a lot stiffer, face of barrel is not blued like it was gound down and hand fit for a tight lock up the other one was blued on that face. requires a slap to break open no way a 2 fingered push would open this one.
Does your guys stock have that cut out area at the front??? I cant remember if the other one was like that??? Seems to serve no purpose??
165 pellets thru it but its still smoking alil bit, first shot cracked like a 22 short and was 870 fps..... what did they do dip this thing in oil??? The ground face of breech needs to be chamfered as it a straight cut....have not looked closely at crown yet. Those are something that can be done at home. gotta find a dowel and push a pellet through and see if it feels smooth. Ram seems to be harder to cock that the other one maybe this one will settle out abit hotter in fps, FPS with 14.3 730 750 fps still smoking abit. hope it stops soon.
What yall think a keeper??? They had another one on the shelf but the factory forgot to put a serial number, model or cal on the side of the breech block weird egh???
I stood it up on butt stock over night maybesome of that oil will ooze out into the tigger

Mine has that cut out. It is also in the same serial number range. Also pretty hard to cock, not bad, much smoother than a springer, just a little stiffer. It takes a little slap to get the barrel to break. The breech is a little hard to get a pellet all the way in. Seems to want to stick out just a touch. I have 500 through mine and it has settled down. It's pretty accurate and powerful with good qualty pellets. I really like the lower noise and recoil of the gas ram.
My complaint is the trigger, it is almost like there is sand in there. Gritty and inconsistant. I will probally inspect it this weekend.

Re: Another try on the Titan GP drove and swapped it out...I would avoid 0910

Good thing the walmart I bought 3 of them at had mismarked them as $80....but I have wasted a good 30 bucks in gas getting the 3 and swapping out the one bad one.
Still waiting to hear back from the friends with the other 2.
Thanks for the info on the stock....the other one I had would crack open with 2 finger pressing on the barrel at the breech block end of it!!!!!!. This one takes a firm but not heavy smack to crack it open When the barrel was locked you could wiggle the barrel up and down with slight 2 finger pressure on the break. Surely bad for grouping. 0910 is a bad month....the locking plunger would push all the way in with my thumb this one I can barely move with thumb pressure. so it must be a combo of a weaker spring in plunger and a tolerance stack up issue with the breech face

My Titan s/n starts with 310, has the cutout in the stock (as does my Crosman Storm XT), and takes a good slap to open the barrel. The chamber is tight for CPHPs and squared-off and sharp so that it trims a little off of the skirt sometimes when I tamp it flush. I'll probably relieve some of that in the future.
It's got about 1500 pellets through it and is nicely settled down (finally).
The trigger was truly awful until replaced with da Tuna golden trigger. Now it is wonderful! Light, short, smooth, and crisp.

Stock I found out is clearence for a rear sight like mounted on the Quest.....
Serves no purpose on the Titan unless ya want to drill and tap for a set of open sights...
I am going to call Crosman again and get the same rep I hope and try and get them to feel bad about having to return the defective one 60 miles away and to send me the correct stock

Interesting. I'll bet all of the stocks for that size rifle are inlet the same (and then are interchangeable).

When I first got mine it really took a hard wack on the barrel to get it to break open. The fix -> sprayed wd-40 on the detent spring & plunger and worked it. you will see alot of rust pour out with the wd-40. This solved the problem and now it opens alot easier.

Merry Christmas

Took another look at the extra milled out area......stock has a split in that thin area
Looks like another call to Crosman......I will run some more pellets thru it first it might need a new seal as well if it does not stop smokin....might be good idea to go in and deburr and properly lube with real lubes anyways
