So my disco is leaking air from around the gauge. I think it's from where it screws into the gun. How would I fix this. I tryed to just tighten it but that didn't work. Can I use thread sealing tape?

There is an O ring in there. The Crosman part number is 1761A023. You will be better off finding a single replacement at your local hardware store than paying for shipping. I ordered 2 full O ring kits from ebay just to have all of them on hand if needed.

Do I need to oil it before putting a new one in?

NO OIL, it may cause an explosion. Silicon grease on all O rings. You should be able to find it at your local auto part store in small tubes for pretty cheap.

So I us the thread tap on the guage and where it goes into the gun and its still leaking. It seems to be coming from the inside of the gun around the guage area. I can slide the guage around a little too is that normal? When I move it around it either gets quieter or louder. What would that be?

2 things you can guarantee with a PCP
it leaks or
it will leak
plumbers tape may stop the leak, also check the oring. you can probably find one like it at the local hardware store

Crosman has a parts breakdown on their website. You will see from that the other areas than can cause a leak around the gauge.

Have you put a few drops of bubble soap on the hole on the back of the gauge? If you have installed a new O ring in the gauge block and there is no air bubbles coming from the hole on the back of the gauge then the only other place a leak can be in the gauge area is from one of the O rings on each side of the gauge block.
Here is a link to the parts diagram for a Disco
https://support.crosman.com/hc/en-us/articles/203544750-BP9M22GP-Owner-s-Manual-EVP-2008-Present-
This may help you understand where the leak can be coming from.

I used plumbers tape on the threads going into the gun and on the guage. I didn't replace the o ring but I did look at it and it look fine to me.

That sounds better! LOL
OK if this was me at this point I would bleed the gun down to take it all apart and do a complete reseal using GOOD O rings.

if you hand pump, you may have rust or corrosion around the area in the tube where the gauge port oring resides..

I use a hand pump. Does anyone have a link to a video or any info on how to break the gun down?

Google "Benjamin Discovery disassembly", click on the Videos link, scroll down and you'll find a video called "Highly Qualified: Episode 4: How to completely take apart your Benjamin Discovery - YouTube". I didn't watch it, but he already had the action out of the stock. Look at some other videos to figure that out, it's easy. Just make sure to degass the gun first.

I did the hand pump thing at first and my Disco leaked from day one. Tim, at MAC1 told me my air tube was badly corroded and he strongly advises against using a hand pump. Others on GTA have said that they have been pumping successfully for years in very humid climates. If you continue to pump, you may want to think about a dessicant filter if you don't already have one. That said, the single most effective thing I ever did to increase my "fun factor" in shooting was to switch to a scuba tank. It's the equivalent of putting power steering on my Commander (side-by-side) UTV. I found a used scuba setup very reasonably priced in the Classified on GTA and I'm going on a full year now without a leak (and I do a lot of shooting). I hope you quickly find your leak. Tim said he had to try several Disco gauges until he found an accurate one that didn't leak.

I like to have my pellet gun to take with me down to the property I hunt that's surrounded by farms the starlings are crazy there. Thanks for all the info and help I really appreciate it I'll let you know how it goes.
