If you're using a leather piston seal, yes it will dry out and require lube, otherwise,
NO
.

It's just pure silcone oil with a very high flash point.
Leather seals need it occasionaly, most all other springer seals don't.

It's possible. Avoid it UNLESS you are speaking of an older gun with a leather piston seal. THAT'S the bottom line on the issue. Tom
