Outside the trigger this is a very nice gun. Packaged nicely and outfitted with some very nice accessories as well as standard features I was impressed. My major problem was that within the first ten minutes of shooting I had to stop to adjust the trigger which did little to help. By the 100th pellet I was on the computer looking for a solution which I found via a You Tube Video showing the installation of a GRT-lll trigger. So I immediately did some reading about this trigger and ordered a GRT-lll from Charlie daTuna. First let me say that to get the GRT-lll from Mr. daTuna it took nothing short of an act of G()D. He takes No credit cards, No personal Checks, and No Paypal. What the heck happened to internet instant gratification Charlie? Besides this there are all sorts of hoops you have to jump through just to get an email from Mr. daTuna saying you qualify and the GRT-lll has shipped. Honestly from the looks of it Charlie must be sick and tired of folks who can't follow directions. We live in the United States Charlie the education system does not expect us to listen and follow directions outside one step simple commands anything outside of that might give the whole game away. But I have to hand it to BOB he is a smart business man. Credit Cards/PayPal steal your profits making staying in business a lot harder and might add some regulations small businesses just don't want or need to remain competitive. Outside having to run to the post office for a money order and having to follow all the very specific direction Mr. daTuna required to order his trigger, the Trigger itself was well worth the money and the effort I expended to get it. The GRT-lll costs $33.00 which increases the overall cost of the XL-1100 but it does make this air rifle much better. The GRT-lll trigger was easily installed if you followed the directions correctly. I can't see why you wouldn't because there are step by step You Tubes Video's for the XL 1100 install. In my case after the install the gun shot much better even with the daTuna factory settings. I was happy with the new trigger but not 100% happy so I decided to fine tune the 2nd stage adjustment settings even further which worked out great. The gun is now grouping much tighter and with much more constant accuracy. Since I Bought the riffle I have shot 700 pellets through it's barrel. At 50ft I now shoot dime size groupings most of the time. That's not bad for a Chinese made air rifle. Î found that this gun in particular likes heavier pellets. JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy Diablo 15.89 and 18.13 grain worked very well for me and were by far the most consistent pellet I shot through the XL-1100.

Oakey, welcome to the NPXL1100 club! I got mine briefly before going on vacation. And now it's raining cats and dogs. But I plan to put more rounds through it and actually install the GRT III trigger I bought before vacation. It must help, as the pull on my rifle is like a ton of bricks.
