Got a little bored yesterday and decided that since I built my Retrievable Trolley Target system out to 50 yards, I may as well use it lolFilled the Sumatra up and grabbed some 33.95 grain MKII JSB's Shooting at around 880 to 900 FPS and done a little target shooting. It was pretty Windy with the Storms coming in here in South Mississippi but it all worked out As you may or may not know that the last couple weeks I have been working on a retrievable target system out to 50 yards, I will post some links below to Project with Video's. Still need some fine tuning on the Target system, but its coming along....The bucket is for weight and about half full of water. I am getting a solid piece of metal that weighs around 15 lbs to replace the bulky bucket....The target was bouncing a good bit, but the groups were great, besides a hunter needs to practice for them bobbing squirrel heads as well as the pest birds. One or two turns ever two shots or so ?wll2506

One or two turns ever two shots or so ?wll2506I set my dial at I believe 6 clicks up from low and try to shoot only 12 shots for consistency, I dont play with the dial while I am shooting. If I set it at the first Red dot going up from low thats where I keep it while shooting the 33.95 grain JSB pellets. And when shooting the 25.4 grain JSB I set it at the first green dot from low and can shoot approx. 18 shots with good consistency. I can get 18 shots with the heavy pellets but I prefer not to shoot the last 6 of the 18 shots at long distance. The FPS spread is approx 50 fps +/- a little. Playing with that dial is not worth the bother in my shooting. Find the power setting that works and leave it. I get 880 FPS down to about 830 FPS on the heavy JSB and around 900 to 850 FPS on the 25.4 grain JSB's. On a calm day I can put every pellet in a 1/2" group consistently with no problem at 50 yrds.If you turn this gun all the way up/above 900 FPS the JSB pellets start to open up the groups. So you need to Chronograph your settings and keep it at the 800 to 900 FPS range to keep your groups tight.I am very happy with these results and have no other plans on changing them Happy shooting...William

Before I read this post that is exactly the setting i was going to start testing. I thought i would give the wheel two clicks after the first cylinder and then 2 after that and then 3 clicks ... this is just a very, very wild guess to try to keep the pellets in a 25-35fps deviation for about 20 shots ?I would love to know if anyone "clicks up the power wheel" when they change cylinders ?Again, William, thank you for your information ;- )wll2506
Wil I have watched all your videos I enjoyed them all! keep them coming, I wish I had room out my door like that, very nice

You could try it, but you need to do it over a chronograph to be sure it works and how many clicks it takes. I think it could be more of a waste of air and time and for hunting one setting works very well!I personally am satisfied with leaving it on one setting, plus 12 to 18 shots with the power and accuracy I am getting is pretty good I think, especially at 50 yards.William
