Got a Sumatra Carbine .25 cal. and it wasn't very back yard friendly, so after a little research and reading some posts here on the GTA I found what I was looking for. I opted for a 5" x 1" custom LDC from Baxter Walton and it does the job very well for my purpose. It (LDC) works better than I thought, all I wanted to do was take out some of the bark and got it down to a puppy whine lolGenerally most are 1.25" in diameter but this one works great even in a smaller size. Now if you want something that is super backyard friendly I would say that the 6" x 1.25" would be the way to go!I don't have anything to test the DB's with, but as far as I am concerned if it sounds neighbor friendly then that's all I need and believe me this one does the job very well on Med high power and shooting at 900 to 1000 FPS. At lower powers (which I have not tested at that power yet) it should be very pleasing to the ear.So if you are looking for a good LDC at an affordable price you need to get in touch with Baxter! http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?action=profile;u=12807William

Bigger and longer is better but I just don't want all that bulk hanging off the end, I prefer at fist glance is to see the Gun and not a big stump hanging off the muzzle end lolGood luck and I am glad I could be of some help... also, Baxter is real good at making things right if anything should not be just as it is supposed to be. He is honest and very helpful to the air gun community.William
