I am going to order a new barrel that is taped for rear sight. Does the muzzle brake really do anything for recoil or sound? (Can you barrels from the "custom shop" w/o ordering a complete rifle, set up with iron sights?)

Personally I don't think a muzzel break is necessary on an air rifle. In fact I'm pretty sure it won't do much for recoil. An airstripper is different but debatable. I think a match barel is all you need. A threaded barel would be nice to attach an after market suppressor I'm mean *cough cough LEAD Dust Collecter haha

I enjoy long range shooting with my airguns(100+yards). I produce military style targets for highpowered airguns. Looking for a target for your 40+Fpe airgun? Ask me or check out MilTargets.com!

"just the barrel" as in no iron sights, or no barrel blob? Did you go with a longer barrel then?
