Had my 880 out yesterday, just fooling around in the garage, and it's just fun to shoot. Problem is the trigger not worthy. Sure wish there was an easy fix for the trigger.
Well, well.. Was at the local walmart and got a 880 w/scope ( didn't have one without ) $44. I opened a couple of boxes (being wary not to pull it out and have another pellet gun walmart shooting, geezz) to discover that the barrel wasn't properly aligned on one of them.. I found one that was perfectly centered, and the crown looking as good as can be, and chose it to come home with me.. I grabbed some 7.9 cphp from there to for $9. I am prob going to get the 2289 first chance i get too, but this should keep me occupied for a little while.. Chrony results are.. 10 pumps 645's, 12 pumps 675's, 14 pumps (yikes! lol) 705's.. Very accurate at 7 yards with open sights. I'm talkin' a lot of pellets into the same ragged hole. Nothing compared to the one I had as a kid, let me tell you. I don't remember the pump handle being so chincy, and the loading port/cocking handle are a little cheaper than I remember, but it all seems to be functional. I see what everyone is on about with the barrel fitting on the end. This one seems fine and is a great shooter, but I will definitely keep my eye on that! Tonight seems like a good night to try and blast some rats the are the plague of my chicken coup!!
Yes, it is stock, for now . I'm going to start collecting info on ways to mod this puppy out. I've put a good amount of pellets thru it and it's doing great so far as accuracy goes. Any links to info would be appreciated.. I'm thinking that on the barrel tip you bend the metal around the tab on the bottom to get the plastic sight/shim off??
+1 David Thanks..
