The QC on the 2100's is not very good. I have two that lost their power after just a few weeks. I believe machining burrs sliced and diced the seals. If you can find a good one they shoot dime sized holes at 10 yards at 600+ fps. Just DON'T SHOOT BB'S because the steel will damage the barrel.
When i read your first post i thought of the 880 and 1377 with a stock for tinkerin! 880 is a nice gun if you can score the old school ones. Mine is 25 yrs old an nice as new. Now the 1377 or 2289. Man oh man the mods thhat are out there. I love the fr sman platform for modding. Almost unlimited as far as what you can do to them. If you go the crosman route better get a support group lined up now. Lol they are addictive!
"The new Daisy 880 is just as good as the older Daisy 880, if you are willing to put in a little simple work. Also it is easier to get higher power out of the 880 than it is out of the 13xx/2289 if you are into modding at all."I tend to disagree with both of those statements...
