Cocking Assist Add-On
«

Hi,
If you own an AA TX200 MK3 and have added a "third party" cocking assist, how did you secure it? The three grub screws will hold it firmly for a while, but after cocking the TX a number of times, mine seems to loosen. Tightening the grub screws too much will cut into the cocking arm finish . . . is there a better way to secure the cocking assist permanently that I'm not aware of??
Thanks,
FredSG

Have you tried blue lock-tite ( I have not tried it myself)? I have mine for probably more than a year and it has not loosened.

i just put the cocking assist on about a month ago. first off i noted that it was a very loose fit, so i used black electrical tape to shim it up to a snug fit. then used the blue lock tight and have no problems.

I installed mine without loc tite and it hasn't budged after tons of lead. Get a small tube of blue lo tite and that should do it.

I bought a used TX200 with a cocking aid, I like it so much I bought a new cocking aid for my other TX200. It has not moved, and I love it. Just remember "Blue Loc-tite is your friend". Many Harley owners know this as well.

Out of curiosity, have any of you with an installed "cocking assist" ever checked to see if you scratched or put a small grub screw dent in your cocking lever arm? If you did scratch or dent the lever arm, how did you repair it?
