Used to have a Benji NP and this is how I solved my problem. See this thread page 5: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=32433.0Sold that AG but still have the rings.
I might have that problem, not sure. At ten yards mine naturally shoots 11" down and 3" to one side. At some point I'm going to try things again, but I think my scope is messed up from being cranked too far.
Anyone have any optical centering check methods that they prefer? Have tried the mirror in front of the objective but have a hard time seeing anything.
My weaver mount is on crooked too. Not too cool. I have been wondering if this defect is cause for return. I really do not want to shim or buy adjusting rings. Even though I have done work on the receiver "deburr, hone, and open up transfer port" I am curious to know what Crossman would do for us (me) for the misalignment of the weaver mount.I was kind of waiting to see what others may be doing.
I know that the thread I listed above talks about barrel droop, but my solution was for a crooked weaver rail that shot low and to the right.
Oh ya, the scopes both shot 5" low and 6" right @ 10 yards when first shot before adjustment.Jay
Just removed my CP 3x9 and used the mirror method to see how far off optical zero it was. Took 62 clicks right to bring it back. Left elevation alone for now. This was fairly close to zeroed at 20 yards. The P rail is cocked to the left visibly, but not what I would call horribly. You can see it if you squint just right. A 12" metal rule laid against the rail shows about .050" or a bit more offset measured up at the breech. No other convenient measurement reference I can see. Suppose if I took the action out and had a height gauge it could be done better. Will try and reverse one of the scope rings to see if that might introduce a cant to the mounting, using a laser boresight as reference. Needed to check all this before mounting the Hawke 4x scope anyway.
