Leaking BOSS valve

I swapped the valve out of my 2400KT for a BOSS. It was working fine for the first few carts, then all of sudden it dumped the whole thing! First shot to pierce it, and whooosh!! all the gas is gone and the tube is all frosty! So, I torn it down. I found no obvious damage. Yeah, there was some Pellgun oil in the valve, but just a little residue. I cleaned it out and looked closely for burrs in the orifices and on the sealing face of the stem. Everything appears normal. I figured one alternative might be to slip an o-ring on the stem. Everything went back together. First cartridge, no worries! Not to get my hopes to high, I went for another. Second cartridge, works great! By now I am thinking "Problem solved!", but third cartridge and WHOOSH all over again. This time I am sure that my temporary o-ring fix is likely toast. I'll tear her down again tonight and see what it wrong. In the mean time, have any of you run into problems like this? All constructive suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Defintely a leak between the face of the valve poppet and the seat.... likely dirt at least to start, then maybe a scratch/groove in the seat.... What is the sealing face of the poppet made from?

I am afraid that may well be the case. It is brass on brass contact there. Should I attempt to polish it with 400 or 600 grit sandpaper?

Hey sam .. had the same type of problem with my bulk fill valve from BnA
Backed off the hammer spring in my 2400kt and it stopped doing it. Today I twisted the adjuster to tighten up the hammer spring and the problem reappeared. Have you tweaked a power adjuster on yours or added a stronger hammer spring ?

yeah, I did, both in fact, heavier hammer spring and a power adjuster.
and, I backed the adjuster out to pierce the cart. sometimes it has made a difference, other times not.
