Quote from: Baltim0re28 on June 09, 2013, 12:49:20 AMI ordered a metal band from Michael Chavka about 10pm Saturday and got an order-ship confirmation around midnight. That's the quickest and most unusual order-fill that I've seen - and I order a lot of stuff online for my various hobbies. Looking forward to installing the band onto an already fine-shooting 2289. I'm looking forward to what you think of the metal barrel band . Did you get the one with the sight ? Kirby

Quote from: Baltim0re28 on June 09, 2013, 12:49:20 AMIf I may suggest, you should either shim your current barrel band with a piece of soda can or something else thin enough to fit between the barrel and the band(best budget idea). Or getting yourself a metal barrel band(costs more but keeps your barrel the same place all the time and looks great). When you are pumping, you could be slightly shifting the barrel in the barrel band causing your groups to open up a little bit. Seems like you are already shooting extremely well, this might help turn that into one ragged hole..I ordered a metal band from Michael Chavka about 10pm Saturday and got an order-ship confirmation around midnight. You will be happy with the Chavka barrel band, I have one on my 2289 and one on my 1377. They are great. You should have them in a few days, he ships fast.
I've been shooting CPHP's mostly for cost and availability, I'd like to try others though...I really like those chavka bands, how much are they?
if you are having good success with meisterkulgeln, you might also try super h points, also an RWS pellet. they grouped well for me in most of my rifles.
Impressive! What kind of sight/scope on that 2240? My 2240 has a 6.5" TKO and a NcSTAR 2.5x32 scope (see my avatar). BTW I just got a tracking number from Mike at TKO. He received my 6.5" TKO (the one I damaged during a brain-fart) yesterday, fixed/replaced it immediately, and mailed it back to me this morning. 😃
