LOL... thanks Mike. I went to the site to looks at the target and got lost in the American Airgunners videos for the last hour. More addicting than vintage episodes of High Chapperal.

I like these fun, printable targets sometimes, to mix things up. But I find that when I print them on this normal paper I have, it tears, unless it has fresh cardboard backing it up.If I've got to have fresh cardboard too, it becomes a bit more work. What I've been doing lately is salvaging white cardboard from work, then drawing circles with big 'Xs' through it with a permanent marker, using something as a template: coins, washers, bottle caps. The 'X', I like better than a crosshairs, like many targets have, because instead of overlapping the reticle on my scope, they tend to "lock it in". I use a Sharpie for drawing the circles, and either the side of the Sharpie or a large chisel-point marker to fill in where needed. What you end up with is a target with the integrated backer board (no tearing) that is free, except for the markers you need. If you're REALLY cheap, you could even use pen or pencil or crayons, depending on what you have around the house. The tearing is worse with low velocity and with round nosed ammo. Get up above 600 fps with wadcutters, and even cheap paper should have clean holes, but that's the range where wadcutters don't shoot so well any more. Hollow points work almost as well as wadcutters, and usually handle high velocity better. H&N Baracuda Hunter in .177 are my favorite all-around pellet. They cut clean holes in paper at high velocity, perform well in animals, and fly ALMOST as well as domed pellets at longer ranges.
Well, it's about time!
