No question hands down scrap the whole .22 cal idea and get a vintage Sheridan blue streak, you'll love it and never look back. The only problem you'll have is not wanting to put it down.
The Crosman Maximums = about 3 strokes per shot ?

Maximus = PCP, not traditional pumper
Would suggest a good, vintage, Sheridan or Benjamin. Either stock or Steroided.
Looking for a .22 multi-pump pneumatic and at airgun depot and pyramidair all I see is the Benjamin 392. Are there any other alternatives, preferably with the same or a little more power but with fewer pump strokes? I wonder why they haven't been able to come up with a multi-pump pneumatic that puts out 700 or so fps with lead pellets and only 2 or 3 strokes.Seems to me that would be the best of both worlds (PCP and break-barrel). A non-hold-sensitive gun that required little pumping and didn't require a separate pump or air tank.
I was surprised how long it took for someone to break criteria and say the bluestreak. +1
