I always said growing up that summer was two weeks in August. Mark Twain said "The nicest winter I ever spent was in the pacific northwest, in the summer..." or something like that. I'll take the Texas summers over the Seattle winters (any month but August). Just kidding... well kind of.July/August in Texas it the time of the year just to stay under the A/C and watch the world go by. Yep, starting about NOW, we 'git our stuff done' before 1100 and then go back in the house and hunker down for the next three months. I reckon our relatively mild winters make up for it.....you think?

It's never too hot to shoot for me! I do hate sweating on my guns, though, so I'll keep a little rag handy for my sweat, but it won't stop me. We'll be in the 100's this weekend and early next week, but I'll be out in the yard doing MY thang!
I can not handle the heat now like I could 40 years ago. Either the summers have gotten hotter or I am not as young as I use to be. (I guess it could be a little of both with global warming)
Well if it weren't too hot to shoot before it sure is getting close here now. Actually it's the darn humidity.
