Bitten by the bug, I added the steel breach, poly transfer port, flat top piston and valve to my 1322. The gun feels good, but will not dumping more than 13 pumps. Other than opening up the t-port holes, what do you recommend to get all the air out? I'm keeping the 10 inch barrel, as I want to keep it a pistol. What have you guys found works best for the shorter barrel?

You'd probably need a stronger hammer spring or a power adjuster to increase hammer spring tension. If you are going to do adjusments to to the hammer and valve springs or even volume changes to the valve, I'd get a power adjuster. That way, you will have less time fiddling with different springs to get your preferred settings.

i wouldn't open the transfer port up , there is a point where you'll lose power doing that. as mav said a heavier hammer spring will work or power adjuster to increase pre-load. you can also shim behind the hammer spring to increase pre-load. increasing the pre-load also makes it harder to cock. also affects the trigger unless you put a p-rod trigger group on it. another option is to lighten the valve spring alittle, or get a lighter valve spring. this option won't increase cocking effort or the trigger. a heavier hammer may do the trick also. perhaps a balance between increasing pre-load and lightening the valve spring would be good.
have fun

I'll echo what the other guys say, and add this.
You may want to research older posts on barrel volume. If you're keeping the 10" barrel, pumping more than 13 times may or may not gain you anything but a louder muzzle report. In other words, any air that is released from the valve after the pellet is too far down the barrel or out of the barrel is wasted air.

On my 1377, i went installed a power adjuster to dump all air over 14 pumps... I mostly dispatch pest with 10 pumps 710 fps. You can install a stronger spring but that will smack the valve stem no matter number of pumps you do.

Hi Mike, the "bug" bites a lot of folks. I thought I was done with these after building nine or ten but I'm still working on my retained air (pcp) version. Anyhow...
What I would do:
Install a lighter valve spring
Use a hammer spring guide and top hat
Polish the hammer and dry lube with moly
Smooth and de-burr the pump tube (where the hammer travels), if it needs it
Make sure that the sear is not dragging on the hammer (look for wear on the hammer and that could indicate the problem area)
I've never had to resort to more than the above to dump everything (that
I
was willing to pump).
Here's some info and details:

Install a weaker valve spring, instead of a stronger hammer spring.... Same effect, without the increase in cocking effort.... The sear spring out of the trigger, once set, works well in the valve.... Slide it over a rod, compress it fully a few times to shorten it, and use that in the valve.... Then find a weaker spring for the trigger to lighten the pull on that....

First, thanks everybody for the information. This website and you guys have been invaluable.
since I replace the trigger spring with a lighter one, I have that one to goof around with. I'll try weakening it with a set and then placing that in the valve to see if it helps with the dumping. other than that hope bust out the Dremel and try to clean up the flow of air through the valve and then add an extended bolt probe. I was checking Amazon yesterday and there was a great deal with a coupon. I almost bought another one but realize that I'm not quite finished with this one yet.
