So in your opinion the BS is better than a 392 - the only drawback being the .20 pellets. How about parts availability if something goes wrong? How do they compare?
I just wanna add that I wouldn't really worry about pellet availability as 2 tins of 500 shots doesn't really take up that much room or weigh that much. If you can keep even 1 full tin worth of pellets in a small kit with a bottle of secret sauce you can feast on small game quite a few times.Whichever you were to go with I'd just make sure it has a peep sight as scopes get in the way of pumping and right where the hand guard goes on a Sheridan is the best place to hold for the easiest pumping ( if you were to injure your arm it would probably be near impossible to pump a gun with a scope on it ) And yes the trigger on my blue streak is really sweet.Something people haven't mentioned is the fact that Sheridan's have a little cover over the cam plate which benjamins don't have ( I don't think the better early guns do ) which will allow debris to get in there and could jam your bolt.
Missing does happen, and pellets can get dinged up. 1000 pellets could definitely get used up faster than I initially realized, but even 2000 pellets isn't gonna be that heavy. One of the good things with pumpers like Sheridan and Benjamins is the fact that you really have to make your shots count and have to sneak up decently close which should reduce missing. Sheridan's are almost always tack drivers ,so as long as you get used to your gun a you'll be a force to be reckoned with.
