The gun needs a transfer port enlargement and a weaker spring, I would be happy to eventually get a 4 shots flat string in the 200 FPE range.
It has been pretty lackluster in performance and that's what has me irritated. This will most likely be my one and only Evanix that I purchase. If there was a way to convert it to the X2 version with the bottle I might consider otherwise. It's too bad that JSB doesn't make a pellet for it as it looks like around 80 grains is the optimum projectile weight as it would probably do OK with light pellets thus defeating the big bore idea altogether. I'm tempted to sell it and buy something else or trade it for something a little more along my lines. Evanix really dropped the ball on this one. I much prefer my Rogue over the Sniper if that tells you anything.
Seems a little anemic for a .45, and I agree - those strings drop really quickly.
What would be a good replacement main spring if I was going to change it out?
