Mike just tuned a xs-b25 in 22 cal. for me 2 weeks ago. So if you call him I bet het can get you a b25 and maybe a b26. Just call him.

You really cant go wrong with the b-25 or the blackhawk.
The 25 is .22, the blackhawk is .177. You could go blackhawk tuned with trigger mod (HIGHLY sugggest trigger mod) for VERY good price, and if you find the .177 is not to your liking, buy a .22 barrel from Randy.
The recoil on the b-25 IS rough without a tune, and even with a tune, takes some getting used to. A de-tune would make it almost perfect. They tend to like larger head pellets, and light pellets just dont seem to work well. A smooth detune does make them very tame to shoot.
.22 cal ammo is generally more expensive, but if you will hunt anything over squirrel size it is necessary to keep your percentage high.
Mike actually sells a good scope with it every now and then, the REX scopes are very durable for the money.
Also, cant beat leapers TS platform for price. Buy 2, and if one needs warranty repair, you have another available. 2 leapers AO 3-9 should not set you back more than 130 bucks......
Right now, the blackhawks seem to be going like hotcakes, and for good reason...almost identical in look and feel to an RWS 34, but nearly less than half TUNED. No brainer really. But if you must have .22, go b-25.
God bless, and good luck,
Farmer

I have a MM tuned B26 that shoots 14.3 grain chp at 670 fps and is a sweet as shooting rifle as you can ask for, I have had it for 3 years and It is a real beauty, try the 26 you won't be dissapointed, Mike is a awesome guy to deal with, and the rekord trigger is all that and a bag of chips

well , using google i found quite a few comments about the 26 taking a lot of technique/practice to shoot accurately because it recoils a lot and also that the copy of the REKORD trigger isn't a perfect copy but that it is a really good trigger . the interesting thing is that the 26 shoots a little slower than the 25 but i didn't read any comments about them needing a lot of technique/practice , but the the trigger does need some TLC ....... so at this point i'm not considering the 26 anymore . but thanks for the helpful comments about it
. i will mention the 26 when i call MM though .........
BTW , i just want one gun , i cant really afford to become addicted to them like some folks here seem to be ....... but i bet it would be 10 tons of fun
i'm not considering the blackhawk purely because i want .22 and there's less than a $20 difference between the .177 BH and the .22 XS25 . i haven't eliminated the titan ..... but the 25 is higher on my list . it would be absolutely awesome if MM had the titan referbs to work his magic on . i think i'll call him this week and see what he would charge to set one up .

You wont go wrong with him....he can tune about anything. I think he told me one time that he PREFERS not to work on Gamo rifles, but only because the lack of available spare parts. Dont take that as gospel, im sure he will work on anything if you're willing to understand any risks involved and the money is right.
But he can and has tuned many other brands besides the china stuff.
BTW, the titan most likely IS a china gun of some sort...

I've owned a Ruger Airhawk (177 B25), a 22 B25, and still own a 177 MM checked B26. Unless you want a 14 fpe rifle, the slightly less powerful B26 is a better rifle than the B25 hands down. Sounded like you wanted a tamer slightly less powerful rifle.
If Mike has a 177 B26, run, don't walk, to order it. The extra cost of the B26 over the B25 is way worth it in my opinion. Barrel is shorter, handier and easier to cock. Barrel lock up mechanism is solid as a rock. Easier to cock, easier to shoot, easier to handle. Trigger is a little better (the T05 clone in the B25 is no slouch either, but it is not the Rekord clone in the B26). The stock is nicer.
Don't get me wrong, the B25/Airhawk is a very nice rifle and I miss owning one. The B26 is just better.
