Another great event! This is the 5th Fun Shoot I have attended, and again, good people and good times. Even for a hide-in-the-corner, non-people-person like me, it was easy to make friends and talk, or just hang back and watch, or just sit down and shoot. I am not going to try and mention names 'cause I'll certainly forget folks, but I will say that the organizers managed to keep all the riff-raff out, except that wack-job MichaelM managed to sneak in some how, ha, ha. I don't think Michael has ever met a stranger, LOL. He and a few other "talkers" made sure there were never any awkward periods of silence. And, after driving 10 hours, I met Marty2 and find out we only live one hour from each other. Airgunners hiding out everywhere! And even with the fickle weather, it was always easy to find plenty of smiles and laughter.I have to give the biggest thanks to the number one man there, Dez, for the countless hours he puts into the GTA to carry on the legacy of Gene and Bob. And to his wonderful wife Teresa, for not only putting up with all the hours that go into the GTA, but for helping so much herself with the GTA. And I never once heard her say "darn airgun bums." If Hargis is inviting us all back next year, I'll sure as heck be there again. Lloyd-ss
Glad you made it buddy safe really enjoyed your company for sure and looking forward to next year already and a big hats off to Dez you guys have no idea how much work he puts into the GTA but he is still a peckerhead but he is my buddy for sure. David
I am 18 and happen to be the youngest one at the fun shoot. It wasn't too bad being around the hoary/grizzled GTA members.. I enjoyed every bit. Though during the week I was forgetting certain things and the effect of GTA members were rubbing off on me. I enjoyed the full week the relationships I started to form and all. Looking forward to next years fun shoot..
HEY!!!I resemble that remark!!!
Burke, aka Ridge Runner,Again, great traveling with you to this venue of common interest. Our two different personalities (chipper vs a little sullen) do tend to balance each other, LOL. Plus, my wife said she "prefers" I not drive that far by myself, and we know what the real meaning of "prefer" is. Another great airgun road trip!Lloyd
