I'm hoping I can get some suggestions on what I'll need for lubes for a full strip down degrease and relube of my weihrauch hw80. I've been reading into it plenty but I still don't know specifically what I should get. Thanks.

I would look through "Motorhead" posts ... it is probably in there. Each part may get a different lube.

Youtube has info on HW 80/R1. You will need a spring compressor along with the regular tools. I did my R1 and did not take the trigger apart, and don't plan on it. Good luck, it is not hard.

Thanks everyone. I heard and saw a video where you did not need a spring compressor

IMHO....with a HW80 you will need a spring compressor because the end cap is a threaded in affair with a rather robust spring under considerable preload if it isn't a UK 12fpe version!
I found that even compressing the spring to start threading the end plug back into the receiver takes considerable strength. Also, when you unscrew the end plug it's good to have an old towel wrapped around the back of the receiver to catch the heavy milled steel plug. It could be dangerous if you get bonked in the noggin with a flying R1 end plug!
Anywhoo.....keep in mind that if the YouTube vids of disassembling the HW80/R1 is a 12fpe UK version the preload is a LOT less than a FAC model sold in the US!

Ok. I would need to make a jig then? I've never seen them only heard. Wouldn't hurt also because my friend has a rws 350. And no doubt in my head that it will need one..

My R1 was 30 years old when I did replace the spring/seal. When I took it apart, I did not need the compressor as the end cap just screwed off with little pressure. The new spring was about 3" longer than the old one was. Definitely need a compressor to get that back in. For 30 years of use, the spring was not broken, but bent and the seal was in good shape. Many thousands of pellets over the years and no trouble with the gun. I guess that I got my moneys worth on that purchase.
One thing that I did was to put a fender washer on each end of the spring when I reassembled it. Polished the washers, lubed. I have no 'twang' and I believe that it is shooting much smoother now. I think that the washers help the spring to 'unwind' a little smoother.

You might also consider The Vortek PG2 kit. I have one in my Diana 48 and am very satisfied with it. I second the spring compressor. I would be interested in seeing pics or video of your disassembly. Good luck with the tune.
