185gr fits in the mag I have some 200gr that I'll test once my .45 comes back from the tuner.
I would skip the Evanix factory LDC/Shroud unit and would contact Neil Clague for a LDC, they are top of the line and can make it as long as you want it.

Dan I'm not sure why the poll, the choices seem to have no relation to each other.
I'll do my my best.
The Evanix shroud is new and there is not much feedback on them. I suggest contacting Borris at PA to question him. Third party LDCs from makers like Neil Clague and Roy Kasten (search their names) are very popular, made to be easily removable and are effective.
Grain weight for the 45 and 50 is hard to answer. What you need to understand is that these are large caliber bridge guns. Meaning bridging from small and medium bore in the same platforms. Because of this they are not extremely powerful for their caliber compared to purpose made high powered hunting big bores. This does not mean there is not a place and purpose for them just realize that fps is going to be rather low with most slugs and this will limit your range due to the loopy trajectory. You stated that 50 to 75 yards in another post, that is where these guns will perform best IMHO. So you are looking at the lightest slugs and round balls for these guns. Heavier is possible but be sure to make sure the fit in the magazine (lenght issues) and you may want to consider having the gun professionally tuned for more power. More power means flatter trajectory and fewer shots per fill.

Dan,
Welcome to the GTA. While I like the Evanix guns and the Korean guns in general, the Max-ML would not be my choice...at least in .45. if yo look at Pyramids listing for the rifle they state that they achieved 184 Ft/lb using 180gr ammo. That means the slug was moving around 650 fps. You will have a very loopy trajectory even at 50-75 yards. If I remember correctly I had roughly a 24" holdover at 100 yards at similar velocities with my .50 Dragon Slayer. If power is what you are after I would suggest an Airforce Texan or Sam yang 909. Both single shot and at or under $1000.
If you dont mind to go up on the price and want a repeater look here.

the "Slayer" produces more energy in .35 than the Max does in .45.

also if you can afford and find it helium, will boost its power, i have a sniper 45 cal, its heavy, and as tom said not really that powerful, i shoot bbt 195 gr out of mine, and it functions great in the mag,i shot the 228gr i molded, but there really to heavy for the gun,i also own a Texan, if power is the way you want to go, the Texan has all you need,on 3k hpa charge, smooth as butter and fun to shoot, well built, and loads very easy, single shot, but guns like the Texan and the slayer, change everything, once i shoot a slayer i will most likely buy one of them too,but out doing the Texan is a tall order, there lifetime warranty seals the deal.
