Brand New 2400KT - A Few Q's

So as a gift from my father, I got a CC 2400kt in .177 with an 18" barrel and the standard skeleton stock. Basic rig for maximum fps, accuracy, and flexibility. I've got my Leapers 3x9 mounted on it. So far, I really rather like it, especially for sparrows. Outside of the stiff trigger, and a couple oddities.
First, as I shoot, it seems to become less accurate.
Corollary, as the powerlet declines to the end of it's useful charge, the gun seems to spray the pellets all over the place...mostly lower, but not always. Insights?
It seems to shoot hole-in-hole on the first several shots, after that I seem to get an occasional flyer. It also seems to maintain accuracy if I wait 30+seconds between shots. Is this normal?
I suspect that since I'm shooting in a cold basement (I'm guessing about 64f), I'm losing power on the gas faster than normal. I also suspect that rapid firing causes the valve chamber to get really cold and maybe generate a bit of frost, maybe even in the barrel. If so, this would explain the flyers. Any insights? Do I have that about right?
Also, are there any mods that will increase consistency? Or am I best off just shooting it in warmer temperatures and giving it a good 1' wait between shots.
I'm thinking I might want a TKO LDC, and a trigger, but I don't know where to get one for this gun. Do I even need a trigger, or are there things I can do to this thing myself that'll lighten the pull?
TIA,
M
P.S. Pics to come.

Congrats on your new pistol. As far as the trigger, try polishing the contact points. If you want a better one per say, take a look at Don Cothran's roller trigger unit. I have one in my gun and it feels great. I highly recommend the TKO stage V muzzle brake. It quieted down my 2300kt .22 cal a bunch.

yes, before buying try to smooth the contact points on your original trigger. you probably got the adjustable trigger on yours so go to searsand find a weaker spring and set it at its lowest setting. the biggest problem is the fact that you are looking for maximum velocity and best accuracy. CO2 guns are almost self regulating, as the pressure of the Co2 is constant at the same temperature (the liquid in the powerlet boils off becoming the gas that pushes your pellet. At 65 degrees is about 800 psi. at 95 is at is max of 1100 psi) But it is all commesurate to how much liquid is freed up with each shot. The best way to do this would be to get or make a hammer spring adjuster, and slowly back it out to slow down the gun. shoot strings of shots and find the setting that gives you the more consistent amount of shots/velocity. Also do wait about 30 seconds between shots (i open my breech as soon as the shot is off. it opens the breech allowing quicker warm up.) I shoot in my basement (60 degrees) and do not loose any velocity. But if you go outside and is 45 or below, suddenly you'll notice a great drop on speed. As per the TKO LDC, get it. Best thing made for that gun.

Thanks, Lillysdad!
I'll be contacting TKO tomorrow.
(addendum, cuz I need to sort of brag)
BTW, I stopped by to visit with my Dad for a bit and get his Christmas technology set up, and to show him how the scoped gun shoots. We trotted down to his basement and set up an impromptu 10-12yd range. I put up a shoe box with 5 dots drawn on it. The dots were very small, the size of, say, a .177 pellet. I took a freehand shot (I NEVER shoot freehand) and my Dad (with his great old eyes) says, "Did you miss the box?" I took a look through the scope and said, "Nope..."
So, Dad toddles over to the box and picks it up. "I don't see your hole..." "Feel the back of the box." ""dang"! Nice shot!" I let him be amazed at my accuracy for a few before I told him that it was pure luck. Still, what a way to make him proud and impressed with his present to me. He took several shots and did pretty well too, considering how much he was wavering. I might add that I put 4 more freehand shots around that target and they'd all be covered with a quarter. Easy to shoot gun even with the darned stiff trigger. I just wish I had more shots per cartridge.
Having fun...
