I sat down today and got a 5 shot group that has to be less then 1" at 70 yards.
I didn't walk out and measure but what I can see with the bino's inspired me.
Now for a bank shot.

Jeff ,
250Ft has got to be the upper limit of the NP2's capabilities .... a 1 " group at that distance is outstanding -

This NP2 is just getting better and better.
The 3 X 12 Scope helps but it's a fine Gun to start with.
I'm almost afraid to tear it down now to do a tune.

I've read that the JM seal for the Hatsan 125 should work. I happen to have one of those on hand.
I'd planned to use it when I convert the Talon to Nitro Piston. I've got the Delrin balls to replace the stock ones also.
(Thanks Rod!!
)
I'll chamfer the Gas port a bit to remove any burrs or sharp edges I find so often. That's just me being a bit picky though I suspect.
I also check the port real close as I've found some that seemed misaligned in the middle?
Other then that it's just the basic hone, deburr, lube tune. It's already buttoned so that saves doing that.
Gene did the trigger so I won't need to touch it.

I heard ya Jeff,
I also have a JM seal and an occasional trigger issue, (nothing dangerous) but ether the gun is shooting better or I'm getting better with it. Seems it doesn't make sense for me to go into it at this time. Maybe, after I finally break down and buy a chrony, then I would see on paper if it will make a difference

You still have the stock trigger Rod?
I got my NP2 from Gene with the CBR (1st one) and it's a dream trigger!

I installed a Gene trigger some time back. I really like it. The problem I'm having must be an alinement issue in relation to how the Primary Sear contacts the Secondary Sear. I have already shimmed my CBR trigger. Sometimes it feels like I don't have a two stage trigger. While attempting to trouble shoot this problem, I have adjusted both front and back screws to see how it effected my trigger pull, so I am aware where the rear screw must be in order to eliminate the first stage.

I had the benefit of Gene talking me through the install and adjustment of the CBR trigger. A great man who will be sorely missed, and unfortunately I can't remember the steps well enough to lead you anywhere but astray.

I have a smooth pull through the first stage. As soon as I feel a slight pressure rise on my trigger finger?
I know it's about to trip. Very predictable and constant shot to shot. I don't use my finger tip but the joint under that.
As a side note...
Got an order of pellets in so I have 5 different ones to try now.
I've been using the CPHP's but I have 3 different JSB's and an H&N to test now also.
Heaviest are the JSB 15.89 right now.

I only bought the NP2 when Gene mentioned it would be for sale after he did the trigger thing.
I wanted that Gun as it has trigger #1.
I never expected it to be as good of a gun as it is. Gene did nothing else to it. That says a lot about the NP2.
Only thing I'd like to see (And it's been hinted at) is a more powerful version in .25
The .22 is very fine and I'd jump on a .25 in a blink!

Set up a new target today. It's at 78 yards 8 foot off the ground. It's a water bottle filled with Plaster of Paris in powder form.
I wrapped it with one wrap of Duct tape and the black dot is about 1". You can see the hit just to the upper left of the dot.

Nice shooting, 234 feet! Interesting target. Did you get penetration?

I was shooting the JSB Jumbo RS 13.43's (Those things are laser like!) and got no penetration. Nice dent though.
The Plaster powder inside the duct taped water bottle makes it act like a punching bag.
It also doesn't sway in a light breeze and doesn't move a lot when hit. That was the first and only shot I took at it today.
