Bob I feel the closer a pellet to pellet is, the greater your groups will be. I weigh and measure all my pellets and shot them one group at a time. I have found a .1 gr at 30yds will change your POI by 1/8" or so. I only shot paper so accuracy is my number one goal. It is time comsuming but worth it for me. I all so light lube them. Hope this helped you. Craig
Don't fool with it ... But do size the .177's threw an old beeman .1785" pellsizer. Kills velocity a tad but IMO consistency is better. To each there own .... Potatoe Patatoe ... Tomato Tamatto
Bob, I made this fixture to measure my pellets. It is easy to make and very accurate. This is the scale I use. It has all different scales on it. Around $80. I can do a 500 tin in about 2hrs. Craig Thats cool! Can you make another for me? I already have a nice dial indicator to put in it.
