Are these any good for the money? There seems to be a lot of negative reviews online but there from several years ago.

Do you mean the carbines assembled from the 22xx or 13xx pistols.
There are so many mods that can be done to these guns that anything someone doesn't like can be changed.
The only $50. gun you can easily & willingly spend $300.+++ on and still want more. Many folks don't seem to stop at one.

unless you REALLY like that stock order a crosman custom shop 2400KT for about $91 and free shipping(for now), same base gun just plastic stocks that are easily moded to give good cheek weld for scopes.
The base guns are great shooters, I'm really enjoying my .177 2400KT engraved "Paper Puncher". Using a Discovery hammer spring and CO2 I was getting nearly 650FPS average on 7.4gr pellets, I'm now shooting it using a HiPAC and a reg'd to 1500PSI HPA bottle shooting the same pellet nearly 750FPS. the HiPAC alone filled to 1500-1600 gives me about 12-15 GOOD shots, tethered to the bottle... A BUNCH. If you need backyard friendly then figure in the $44 cost of a TKO

I can't possibly see how anyone would not like these guns they are inexpensive to buy, and are very good out of the package but with a little polish here and a touch up there they become awesome. You can spend as much or as little as you want and still have a great deal of fun
