XS46U Trigger Spring and Shortening Pull

Hi All,
So my rifle is still shooting well...I got about 1000 rounds through it. Found a pellet that works and found the right resting point using my Bi-pod. It needs to be a fully disassembled and I need to do a full clean and grease on it now...
Here is the thing since it will be apart...I really need to lighten the trigger...I need it to be feather light in order to compete with the TX200's in HFT.
Holding this 11lbs rifle in the off-hand position and squeeeeeeezzzzzzing such a long throw with a 5lbs pull is brutal.
So do you guys that own one (or even guys who do not) know what happens if you take out the trigger return spring under the trigger? That little spring is probably (guessing here) about 2lbs of pull out of the 5lbs it takes to squeeze it off.
I know on Crosman type triggers...if you take out the spring and leave it out...the trigger does lighten up pretty seriously.
2nd...do you know if you add material (welding/brazing) to the actual trigger...will it put pressure on and preload the positioning of the SEER so that the throw of the trigger would be shorter?

I have a couple of files on the XS 46U trigger. Both are too large to attach on this website.
Shoot me your email address and I'll shoot them over.

This is an interesting thread. I shot my Browning leverage in Hunter class field target last year. Then I bought the TX200 because of the trigger.
I often shoot both rifles side by side and still want the leverage to beat the TX. It's very close out to 35 yards.
I don't know if it's the length of pull. Or the weight that is the problem. I sometimes kit feels as if the trigger blade has some flex in it also.

Here's a little writeup I did about 3 years ago. I didn't do anything to change the pull weight but it made the trigger significantly more predictable by taking the stiction out of it.

Be carefull when replacing the spring, it also holds the sear in place...too light and the rifle may not cock or premature release....

Thanks everyone and to you Mike for input.
In my opinion it is the "length of pull" that is my biggest issue. We all know as good shooters that you squeeze the trigger straight back and not "jerk" the trigger. For HFT level shooting and humane hunting you have to use breath control and a few other nuances in order to put pellet after pellet in the same hole at long distances.
So not to get on a soap box and tell shooters how to shoot, you all know what you are doing right...i just feel that the
length
is the issue because the longer you
hold
either breath or muscle, both start to fatigue. Let's say in Off-hand, with no support...it is brutal right?
The longer it takes for you to squeeze and snap the trigger off, the more tendency you have to miss, again all opinion here. The weight of the trigger has an influence on "torque" or grip and the way your trigger hand pulls or pushes POI around.
Personally if I can get a slightly modified hair trigger even with a 5lbs pull...i can get this to work flawlessly.
So ultimately...I can leave the spring alone under the trigger if I can just get the trigger quickly snap off...
Haven't had time to take my rifle apart yet...it would be really nice if I had 2 of these...because I could actually machine a trigger assembly out of aluminum and test it without worrying about ruining my actual rifle I need to compete with.
