I think I found what my AT44 likes

Having recently acquired an AT44 which needed some tuning, I have been putting off shooting for groups until I had it shooting at the speed I wanted. Well, I got the velocity where I wanted it, and when I started shooting, I noticed that I was getting flyers with just about every type of pellet I was shooting. I would put 4 pellets into one ragged hole at 23.5 yards (length of my yard), and one would be a quarter to half inch away. So, I busted out the JB Bore Paste, and went to work polishing the bore. 100 strokes later it has a mirror shine, and the flyers seem to be mostly gone (unless they are caused by operator error, which has been known to happen). It will now group Baracuda Hunter Extremes into decent little clover leaf groups, and CPUMs will group under half an inch at 23.5 yards. However, the winner of the tightest group award goes to the JSB 10.34 grainers. Ragged one hole groups are the norm with these, but the group pictured below is probably one of the best I have ever shot. It measures .112 inches center-to-center. This is five shots at 23.5 yards at about 880-890 fps. I believe I have found my pellet. Pests best look out...

Never argue with an idiot. First they bring you to their level, then they beat you with experience.

Whew ........... now that the pellet trail is over, you can just shoot
The JSB 10.34's are my AT44's favorite too
