Hatsan AT44 Barrel Retaining Screws - Long vs. Short

Hey Guys,
Have fully tuned my AT44L & AT44S, but never have taken off the barrels before
. I'd like to take both barrels off so they can be re-crowned in my lathe.
I'm assuming they both have barrel retaining screws, but where are they hiding on the AT44S
?
AT44-L
- Assuming these are the barrel retaining screws: (I stripped the one on the right - thanks Bob
)
AT44-S
- Same picture, but where O where are those darn screws

Hey Kirk,
they are on the top of the breech, mine is like yours, you have to remove your scope for that
They are hidden where the iron sights where mounted, good luck!

They come in different flavors. On my 25 cal the screws are on the top and there are two sets. You have to remove the top screw and there are another underneath. On my 22 cal the screws are on the side of the breech and there is just one set, you remove or loosen screws and the barrel will come loose.

The ones on the top are the older models the ones on the side are the newer revised ones...because they wanted use to be able to remove the barrel for cleaning without having to take your scope off.

Thanks Guys,
I was being lazy on the AT44S -> didn't want to take the scope off.
I'm going to re-crown all my Hatsan's and BAM B50/B51 soon.
The only gun's that were re-crowned on my lathe are coincidentally my best shooters -> the QB78D & QB79
. I'm hoping all my PCP's will shoot like the QB's.
