The beautiful Hatsan 100x Torpedo ... FINALLY. Any hint?

Hi guys,
as I said in another thread, I bought a Hatsan 135 few years ago and was never able to get consistently precise with it. I finally sent it back to the store and ordered a Marauder .25 …which is for sure a surgical tool. But for an obscure reason, I always regretted sending back that 135 …this riffle was SO beautiful and felt so right. I really tried to make it mine and tame it. But I guess I was not ready at the time. I never blamed it and I know that I was the issue.
So now, few years down the road with my Marauder, I feel like getting a new shinny springer. I first thought that I wanted a Diana RWS 350 Mag. …. that slowly brought me to Diana RWS 460 Mag. Then someone told me that if I was looking for a riffle in that price range, I should seriously consider a Weihrauch HW 90.
The Diana RWS 460 and the HW90 were looking fine on paper, but I could not say … I was not that charmed for some reason.
Than BOOM!!! I realized something that completely changed the way I looked to my new purchase. I discovered what I really wanted.
I want a beautiful wooden riffle that is relatively precise. I want it to be heavy, classic and bulky. Keep in mind that I already have a Marauder that keep my precision need well fed. So now I want a self-contained springer that shoot well, but that mostly look good to me. Something to cherish.
That 135 was still haunting me and cast a spell on me, so I looked at the available Hatsan Model … to finally make my pick. I went with the awesome and precise Hatsan 100x Torpedo in .22 caliber. It is looking good, it is bulky, it is precise and powerful enough for my little game hunting and it is more forgiving than the 135 as far as the way you are holding it.
The order is passed, now waiting for the tracking number. I will let you guys know if it filled my expectation
So since we are at it, any owners here in the forum could give me any hints. I realize that this model is not as common as the 125 and the 135, so the thread about it are more limited.

I've got a 100x. Good gun. Also got the big brother both in .177. Had a .22 155 but found a .177 on sale and sold the .22. When you cock it make sure it's cocked all the way. If the brass release button on the bottom jiggles you're good, if it's tight and don't move the gun's not cocked. Make sure the bolt is closed all the way and the handle is in the notch. If not they can blow open. Really loud and like a dry fire. Save your shoulder, cock with two hands. You might want to shoot it awhile before you scope it, dieseling could break a scope. The scope rail is to far forward. You'll need an off-set mount. The leather tabs on the ends of an AK sling fits the sling rings perfect. If you have a chrony you'll be impressed. Artillery hold, artillery hold.
All three of them, the 135, the 155x and the 100x are beautiful guns. The brass sets'em off.
Also you need to order another 135. I love mine. Over time I've gotten better with big springers.

In the Uk you can get a Dominator with a wood stock. I'm hoping that later I can get one for my carbine. It's kinda' like the stock on the new 135. The QE or something like that.

Jeff
I have a 200 s that I got from a friend that had broken the safety trigger retaining pin and the safety Y was lost due to it getting caught in the main spring when cocking and bent the spring.
I am in the process of repairing /tuning the gun to sell. I have the trigger safety parts for repair of the safety and am waiting for a new piston seal as the original had a small nick in the sealing edge.
I am installing a factory stock RWS model 48 spring in it with about 3.5 inches preload when assembled ( the factory 200S spring was 4 inch preload ) so it will be at close to same power level and should be more forgiving in shout cycle. The gun was sold on 6/9/15 so it not even two months old yet but he just did not want to deal with Hatsan and sending it back for repair so I got it to repair and tune to resell.
I will post pictures and chrony numbers when I get it back together and if you are interested in it as it is the 200S carbine without sights and synthetic stock so I can give you first choice at it. if you are interested send me a PM and I will contact you when it is ready for sale
no firm price as of yet as it will depend on how it turns out from the safety repair and 48 spring tune using the 48 spring guide as it is a much tighter fit in the spring than the stock 200s guides was in the stock spring so it will have a much smoother shot cycle when done.

I stumbled on few post this weekend saying that the 100x Torpedo was hold sensitive ... and others saying its not.
For those who own one here, what is your take?
I went ole nine yard with it. Ordered it with an Alpha Chrony, 5 different brand of pellets, moly paste, chamber oil, Ballistol oil ...
I will get pretty serious with it. The post about this model are quite scarce, I will make sure to document here everything I do with it.
As I said earlier, I also shoot a Marauder .25, which is very well documented on the net. I am looking for a strong challenge now, and I will make that 100 Torpedo deadly accurate, even if I end up with a 22 inches left bicep cocking it all day long.

My 100x isn't hold sensitive to me. Might be for someone else. With the artillery hold I'm barely touching any of my springers.

Im sure you wont be disappointed with the hitting power of your new rifle .
I've got a Webley and Scott / Hatsan Domin8Tor , it's a cannon. Its got a "swing open " loading port and is underlever.
Congratulations on your purchase .
