That's a great price, a new brass valve from Crosman was $13.99 part #397B032 for my '97 BS, same valve as a 392. I did a mod to make it pump easier, like the old internal valve one's were. See it here:http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=47480.msg446445#msg446445
You can find a parts manual here:http://www.crosman.com/cs/manuals/benjamin-and-sheridanNotice there are 2 different ones for the 392 - 1 for 1997 - 2006 and the other for 2007 to present.
I have the crosman site for dating guns.. and maybe its just me. But I cannot fighre out the build date of this rifle.http://www.crosman.com/cs/dates-benjaminCan/does any one know how to read it?It says 392PA as a model. I found a s392 a 392S, some G models but nothing about a PA....CW

Feb. 2011 for sure. Mine is dated same way and first three numbers are 395 (Mar. 1995) I purchased it new in 7/95.
oh i meant the aluminum valve after you replace it.. I just wanna see how bad it looks after hearing about the horrible corrosion issues with the aluminum ones
