Anyone have an AirForce Escape SS?

I can't seem to turn up much in the way of user info on the AirForce Escape SS. Anyone have one?
Interested in noise level and average shot count in the .22 or .25 model......
On the cusp of getting a new gun and the Escape SS in .25 seems to fit the bill exactly on paper! I'm after light weight, short length, reasonable noise, and stupid energy availability. I like the condor too, but I'm putting a premium on weight at the moment and more of a hunter than a plinker........
Anything helps. Thanks!

I have a talon ss in .22 and a condor ss in .25. The Talon is quieter but the Condor is not too bad. I have not counted the shots with the condor but I bet if you are just farting around shooting at cans around 35 yards you could get 30 plus shots. With the Talon I counted 65 shots and still hitting a soup can at 35 yards. The escape in ss will a 12" barrel will be about the same power as the Condor ss with a 18" barrel. I hand pump and still picked the Condor over the Escape because I wanted the extra shots.

Shooting is not about theory, it's about practice.

My Condor SS .25 doesn't seem heavy by any means.. My Old/sold Marauder .25 was a tank in comparison..

Hey thanks! That's more shots than they seem to advertise.
May I ask why you decided .22 over .25?

I have both barrels , though only takes a few minutes to switch them when I want ,most hunting I do with it only requires .22 and also makes it an economical back yard heavy duty plinker
and the best part is I take the o-ring off and insert cast bullets and have a power house .22

I have an Escape .25 cal with 24 inch barrel and RL shroud. Like you I plan to use it to hunt medium size game and will use heavy pellets and slugs. My goal was maximum power so I went with the 24 inch barrel plus shroud and that means that while still light weight, it is not a particularly short gun. I have not owned the gun very long, so pellet testing is limited, but I have chrony tested 31 gn and 34 gn slugs as well as 31gn Baracuda and 34 gn JSB pellets. The 34 gn slugs gave me the following string with tophat set to .070 and no O-ring (everything stock) 2700 psi fill:
901,911,951,949,978,977,936,951,911,918
You can expect about 8-10 shots at this power level, or about 10-12 shots with the 31 gn pellets. Of course you can shoot even heavier pellets and get to just under 100 ft lbs but I suspect shot count will be down to 5 or so shots. Going in the other direction, the gun can be de-tuned and an O-ring added to the top hat and get 25 or so shots. The air tank is pretty small compared to a Condor so at high power levels every shot has to count. I plan to keep mine tuned to about 70 ft lbs for a good compromise between power and shot count.

So, I was doing some googling and this old post showed up on the first page.....
In short, I bought this gun and love it. Thought I'd drop a link to my "review" post in case some other web wandered sees this post in their results....

The Condor SS is extremely lightweight. I have it in 25. One of the best guns you can buy ! If it has any downside at all, it's aircraft aluminum and dings easily.

The thing that I love about the AirForce platform is that they are a modular platform. You can build about anything you want change anything want. Think about what powder burners do when building off of the AR 15 platform different barrel from another gun different upper and different lower, they put togather what they want. That is what I have done to my Talonp right now it is not the same that it was over a year. MadDog stock larger tank,18in barrel, TT one piece tophat. I knew I was going to build what I wanted over time and I am almost there. I just need a shroud or LDC for it. I am so impress with it I just sold my Gen1 .25 Marauder MDRL bullpup. I know I will regret it some day but it will help fund my build. I was happy with the 34.7 grain slugs I got from Nick that I ordered some 39grain slugs on Nicks recommendation. The single shot is a deal killer for alot of guys, I think it makes you hunker down more and concentrate on the shot. I feel they are worth every penny.
Can anyone tell me their onion of the RL shroud?

Check out the Talon pistol section, may fit what you are wanting to do.

The Talon Forum is a good place to research for all the newbies alot of good information and I am a member of it along with several other forums. Not alot of posting on the Talon forum. I have found that you can get good AirForce information on just about any forum.

I have the RL shroud it does keep things quiet as long as you keep it under the speed of sound, full power you still get the sonic crack after the projectile leaves the barrel/ shroud. even basement quiet at or under 950 fps.
They also have different bushings for adapting the shroud to different barrel styles and calibers.
