Oh no you didn't... I have sworn to not take the deepest plunge into the Darkside and go PCP because of the cost....With an MSRP of $199... Now what's my excuse! Now I gotta see how much a decent hand pump runs.
I want to see how accurate it is because the .22cal maximus is ridiculously accurate for the 200dollar price point.

The new Maximus is one of the most accurate pcp's out of the box I have tested. (Pellet shooters that is). To the point that it will keep up with any Daystate I have had here, including the MCT, which is famous for it's accuracy, and cost roughly 12x as much! Think well under 1/4 inch at 30 yards with .22 18 gr JSB's. I have shot many 5 shot groups that went well under 1/8 Inch at the same range, and under an inch at 80 yards. The Maximus is a shooter, all out of proportion to its cost. It shot one group of 5 that were simply too tight to be measured. Even with Calipers. It was one hole, smaller than a .22 pellet! 5 through one tiny hole. and perfectly round. Not a hint that more than one pellet went thru the hole. If I had not seen the pellets in the Zeiss Scope flashing thru the hole, I would not have believed it myself. Amazing! I can be had for less than the 199. cost if coupons are used. I picked up the .22 for 179. usd. And has a very flat shot curve for 20 + shots, and 35 useable for hunting purposes.Really liking the new Crosman barrel in the Maximus. It took long enough for Crosman to get it right in the .22's! Grrrr!!! The new beman offering will be hard pressed to keep up!Sure looks like the Discovery. Hummmm!!Knife
Please note that this particular gun is a pre-production prototype, so it may differ in some specifics from regular Chiefs when they become available in April/May 2017.
I can not hear this...Last thing I need is a new addiction and all the support equipment for me to enter PCP would be a HUGE hole in my wallet.
