Well,i'm no expert,but the only thing exist with barrel out at 6 o'clock is the tranfer port hole.Pushing the pellet the head falls in the hole.You may have to polish it but i think when air pushes the pellet (when you shoot) it passes without scrathes
A friend of mine once had a .22 65,had a problem with scratced pellets.Problem was from one screw to the left,it was just passing where it was supposed not to He had scratches on heads like you did but you said 6 o'clock and with barrel on hands.So i can't think something else than the tranfer port hole This or you still have remainings in the barrel after the cleaning.
Could be your magazine/probe that's off-center.
