this is probably a stupid question, but do you guys find the position of the gauge kind of... awkward? when i'm at the range people look at me funny as i'm looking at angle from the front of the gun towards my gauge.

The reason I asked is I saw this video where a guy used one and it totally changed the POI nad scattered his groups. I ordered one for my Sumatra but haven't had a chance to use it yet because I had to send my gun for repair. His is obviously clipping because the BOI is nowhere near without using the LDC.
IHF, I had the same problem, ran a slightly larger drill bit through it and it works fine now.
One way to test it is to shoot 3 five shot groups without the LDC then put it on and you should be able to shoot those same groups, if not then the LDC does not work. The farther you shoot with the LDC the larger the group will open up. I would do this at the min 35yards

The new one was perfect and being I was nice to them during the process because the first one was spraying until I reamed it to 9/16 they were very nice to me

The problem with making a larger hole is that it does not fix the problem, it may seem like it for the moment. . Something inside the LDC is misaligned and throwing the pellet off. As far as screwing an 8 inch device onto a barrel and it not changing group size I would have to question on the basis of barrel harmonics. I used to shoot high power at 2-3 and 600 yds and the guys at the end had a guy go prone at 600 yds shoot 5 shots hitting 8 and 9 ring. then he put his pencil on the barrel and told the guy to shoot 5 more. He did not hit the 4x8 frame. He was trying to show about putting to much tension on the sling swivel which transferred to the barrel. I realize a rifle round causes more barrel whip but I screw on an air handler onto my AT 44 and it changes groups as when you adjust the sleeve back and forth

That is the reason that I only make a 6 and 5 inch with a 1 1/8 dia they work very well..... .225ctc @ 50yards
