I depends what hammer spring it has.... The new ones seem to have a stiffer spring, and you may get what you want by just reducing the preload.... If you want to detune it more than that, reducing the preload further may drop the fill pressure and lose shot count.... In that case, you could try fitting a smaller transfer port....Bob
absolutely... or any spring that has less tension will do... then if its too soft you can add ball bearings behind it (1/4 inch) to preload it... or drill the end cap, thread it, and then insert a .22 casing in the spring so when you put a screw in the end cap it will work as a power adjuster...
You said you centered your scope at 12 yards. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic but I've got mine centered at 50 yards and can generally shoot half dollar groups with a 25 CAL disco. I'm still working on the mods and am waiting for new o-rings now since one of mine (the ever important and hard to replace square one in the tube) seems to have jumped into the Twilight Zone.
