I have a .22 discovery in the house, only had about 30 shots fired, I just refilled to 2,000psi and fired 10 JSB 15.9g - 5.52, might make a difference?-High-825fpslow-809fpsav-819fpsES-16SD-423.6fpe averageMight be worth placing a piece of tissue over the bolt and transfer port area to check for a leak?John
You say "no mods", but did you by chance do the 2 or 3 screw trigger mod?.... If so, and you have the overtravel screw adjusted too close, it will drag on the hammer and you will get low/inconsistent velocity.... Your figures are a little weak for a stock .22 cal Disco, with 16 gr. pellets about 22-23 FPE is typical (~800 fps).... If you haven't done ANYTHING, I would pull out the hammer and check the tube for burrs or dirt, the hammer must slide freely under it's own weight (no spring pressure).... Bob
Maybe you should try it again but shoot it from 2000-1200 instead of down to 1000. My Discovery's sweet spot is from about 2000-1250.

Seriously? That's what you think the problem is. lol.

My Discovery's sweet spot is from about 2000-1250.?by shooting down to 1000 i think he is saying it will lower your average FPE and skew the numbers. I don't think most shoot down to 1k PSI, I don't shoot past 1200 on mine.
Please explain to me how averaging my velocities over fewer shots is going to make my gun shoot any faster than the 738fps high that I posted???
