Title: Obselete RWS Diana Model 45... parts?
Post by: rotaidalg on June 30, 2011, 09:42:01 PM
I own a Model 45 manufactured in 1988. I broke the bottom sear piece back in 2005 (after about 10 years of procrastinating ordering a new Main Spring!). I'd just returned from Iraq and had some money to order a new spring for this rifle. Unfortunately I had no Clamps, compressors, etc. and while re-assembling the receiver with the new spring I managed to break the tip off the lower sear piece...  :(
Back then RWS Diana still had an office in New Jersey. Well, 10 more years of procrastination - I'm just back from Afghanistan & now I'm afraid the parts are unavailable! (Thanks, Glenn Seiter from UmarexUSA, for researching this for me.)
If I can get it to post I'll insert a picture of the part glued back together (for photo purposes only) to see if ANYONE might have one of these about!?!  Thanks!(http://)

Thanks, guys. I thought about the welding idea but the metal looks like a pressed/sintered piece(?) & I didn't know if it were possible/advisable - I'd hate to have such a critical portion of the mechanism subject to sudden failure!!  {:(
