You have to completely depressurize the rifle before removing the cap!After your shots start dropping off just dry fire the gun---won't hurt it like a springer---until ALL remaining gas pressure is exhausted. At this point the cap should unscrew as easily as it went on. NEVER use pliers on it! Too many old CO2 guns have caps buggered up by pliers for the simple reason that people wouldn't read and comply with their owners manual instructions.
