As some may know I am new to the site and recently purchased a RWS 34 Panther Pro Compact. I am really pleased with it. I bought some cheap Crosman Destroyer EX pellets and am having trouble holding good groups at 25 yrds. I'd say 3 to 4 in. groups with a 3x9x40 scope along with a recently purchased Caldwell rest. I noticed the Crosman Pemier hollow point were like three times the price. I would asuume because they're more accurate. What are the best performing pellets you guys have found? Primarily for the gun specified above.
Thanks in advance! ;D

I'm not sure for your specific AG, but Beeman FTS, H&N FTT and JSB's seem to be the pellet of choice for a lot of different AG's.
-
Also, I would like to use this same accurate pellet for hunting.

ANY pellet that shoots good from your rifle will be adequate for hunting. for my TX200 its CPL's... but i would start with CPHP's, (cheap and effective) FTS, FTT, JSB exacts, preds, etc... the generally accepted KING of all hunting pellets are the Predator Polymags, known as "Preds". i would always start with those as an effective hunting pellet.

Mine does ok with CPLs and JSB exacts but absolutely loves FTS. With the Vortek PG2 it is about as accurate as my TX200 FT rig.

My guns love the jsb pellets. I've tried about 20 types and those were the best.

I have a RWS 52 and get great groups from various RWS pellets I would try them.

I have the standard 34 in .22 and I have ten different pellets. It is not fussy and likes them all. Course my rifle I would say is broken in. Likes RWS HP and Super Dome, H&N Dome, Jsb Exact 14.3 and 15.9, AA Falcon Dome and Field, Crosman Premier Dome and HP, Benjamin HP. It is my most joyful shooter.

Not cheap at all, but my standard .177 34 does really well with the Dynamic Sn-1 tin pellets. I needed a lead free alternative, didn't want lead in my chicken yard, and these worked out great. Later.

JSB Exacts for me and I tried a lot.

Thanks for all the responses!

My .22 cal RWS 34P likes RWS Superdomes the best very fast and more consistent. Actually all three of my .22 cal AGs like those best. Now all my .177 cals like JSB 8.4 or the Beeman FTS 8.8.

I like JSBs sometimes. Too often the skirts are damage because they are so thin. I've never damaged a skirt on a CPL or FTS. That's why I prefer them over JSB. Something about the CPLs that generally fit tighter in .177 that makes the FTS a better choice for me. I also think the extra weight is a good match for the 34s power.
Just my 2 cents.

Like Daved said, the Dynamic pellets are a bit pricey, but my .22 Diana 34 is fantastic with the SN2 tin pellets. Close or far, they remain lazer accurate and pack one heck of a punch. Got my first BT at a solid 30 yards using the Dynamics. Not only a one shot kill, but the SN2 sent the rascal into a tailspin all the way to the ground. Impact showed through the scope a red mist when the pellet struck its fuse box. Ed would have been proud of that one!! tjk

I have two 34's in .177 cal. and one likes the RWS Super Domes, and the other JSB Exacts. You need to try different pellets to see what your rifle likes.
