Just got a rebuild kit for a B3 in .177. Gonna get my feet wet. What kind of velocity do these have? Also,I have been seeing a lot of talk of lubes. What is the best "reassembly" lube and process?

I have three B3's, they shoot 537, 619, and 648. I have a B4, which is a .22 and it shoots 494. I used JM lubes on all my tune jobs. Charlie just posted an outline on tuning airguns, which covers everything pretty well....

Average fps on a stock B3 is around 500-550fps in .177,or at least thats what most manuf. advertise.A simple tune will increase it up to around 750

You really have to message them to get it up to the 700fps mark. I've tuned load's of them in the past and a bunch of us went through a B3 craze with every kind of mode possible. I have one that push's 700fps but did a lot of mod's to it, more money spent on it then what I paid for it but it was a fun project. Some have leather seals and some the synthetic seal's and just a good debure, polish and proper lubing will give you a consistent smooth backyard feather getter. I've taken nutters and bunnies with mine but mainly just a yard sniping shooter.High 300fps to 400's on most stock B3's I put some stock ones across the chrony and they were pushing 500fps to 600fps out of the box but that dropped rapidly after a dozen or shot's. They were smoking like a freight train and as the mystery lube burned off the fps dropped. Ed
