Title: Just purchased yet another HW95L in 20 cal
Post by: kevinbrian on November 16, 2012, 12:56:13 PM
I truly have lost count at how many of these HW95's that I have bought. But for those acquainted with this rifle....is there any BETTER way to spend a cold winter day as to tear down this rifle, slip in the kit of choice, button the piston, adjust the trigger, etc etc etc??? Well, there probably are much better things to do. But I enjoy doing just that. My FIRST goal is to always get rid of the after shot buzz with tight guides. And work to make the cocking and shooting cycle sweet.  I may get a hot shooter....or it may be mediocre....velocity wise. But who cares. They are absolutely fun guns to shoot through a half tin of pellets.  I have several new seals, if i don't use the OEM. I already have a couple of different kits. I already have a buttoned piston. All I need it an HW95K Luxus. And that is what is coming.  I actually prefer the non luxus as the plain HW95 stock's comb is lower and lends itself well to iron site shooting.  I have been shooting PCP's all fall and summer.  But spring piston rifles never left my heart. LOL
I am going to go to new lengths in trying to make this little sporter a SWEET rifle to own. There was really no point to making this announcement.  But...I'll be back with an initial observation of HW's latest quality as a service to my fellow spring gunners.  Who knows, they may accidentally put a tight rear guide on the spring and then I;ll just shoot the thang. Over and out.

I know how you feel. I am getting the itch for a new gun to tear into. Getting them set up right is half the fun.

Gongrats on the newest. Saw your old CFX Monday, would have purchased it if I could have.
Just trying to be a good airgun friend here, David had a bunch of boxes of "the last of" rilfes he was sorting through to be listed for sale soon, a varity of brands, just thought I'd mention that.

Does David still have that CFX???  Did he ram it????  I remember driving to Lawrenceburg a couple of years ago and selling him that. Along with an old Axsor pump. And thanks for the heads up.

I have one too and am considering a tune. What do you use for buttons and how do you attach them?

ATM, I have to agree. Seems this is what I do nowadays... my problem is I haven't sold any off... so the closet is full (so is the workshop, and the rafters over the garage). :-)
