Title: BSA Sweet 17 scope Airgun rated?
Post by: Tpatner412 on September 30, 2010, 06:42:24 PM
I am looking for a nicer scope for my new BSA lightning XL and I came across the Sweet 17 at my local Gander Mountain and it looks like a really cool scope.  I couldn't get an answer as to whether or not it was air gun rated and I figured I would ask and see if any one here had given them a shot?

Thanks for the help

The only BSA scopes that are Air Gun Rated are the "Essential Air Rifle Scopes"

I agree the sweet 17 can be mounted on a pcp or co2 gun(no recoil)

I'm pretty sure he was asking about a Springer.
BSA lightning XL

Of course you can use any scope on a PCP rifle.

I have owned a Sweet 17, And I wouldn't recommend one for an air rifle, or would I buy another.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the input. Ill probably just buy another leapers scope or maybe a bushnell banner.

BSA is specific about airgun rated and if you do like the look of the Sweet 17 style do take a look at the BSA 4-12X44 AO Essential scope. I like mine and no problems. $45 at Natchez.

All good and just because its ag rated if you have a magnum springer then thats another issue bsa/bushnell/hawkes/sun optics/airforce/leapers/centerpoint/barska/nikko stirling all make air gun scopes.
