I just got one of these scopes and the crosshairs look like they rotated. My question is how did your crosshairs line up in relation to the scope adjustment knobs when you first got it?

They should be straight up and down in alignment with the adjustment knobs. No scope that I know of comes any other way. You probably got a bad one

Yea the crosshairs are a T, the top top bar is 70-80 degrees off the horizontal plane while holding the vertical adjustment knob at 12 o'clock.

It's a bad one, send it back/take it back.
PS sorry, but you may want to consider another brand like Leapers or Hawke or Crosman Centerpoint, those Gamo scopes are junk, yours is not the first report.

I thought Gamo gun, Gamo scope and under thirty dollars wasn't a bad deal. Apparently I should have stuck with my original plan before finding this one, which was a Leapers.

well if you got the gun and scope for under $30 that is no real loss. Gamo probably charges $50 for the scope alone. Go get yourself a leapers and dont look back

No, I meant Gamo gun why not go with a Gamo scope. I already had the gun previously to buying the scope, sorry if there was any confusion.

It would be best to get almost any other scope then a gamo. I have only had one but it was junk and I think you will get that answer from most everyone that has ever gotten one. I would bet that most guns that come with the combo scope, soon get new glass. To get to the point, their are much better scopes out there then the gamos. The Leapers or Centerpoint would be good choices. Good luck and good shooting. jrfan

I have the same scope and it died very fast. My cross hairs actually came apart in the center. The bottom hair dosnt touch the other 3 and the center is off. Pos scopes. Go with a leapers like said above. Only gun that killed a leapers is my 177 350. Its killed 2 but leapers warrenty service is awesome.

Airgun Scopes; things to look for;
Adjustable Objective (AO) down to 10 meters if possible
Objective Bell 40mm min diameter (50mm can be too big depending on mount height)
One piece scope mounts if possible on springers
3-9x power is usually enough for casual shooter/distances
Reticle etched onto glass (means it's robust and not "Gamo-like")
Airgun rated if going on springer (takes recoil in both planes and doesn't self destruct)
1.0 inch tubes are most prevalent, 30mm tubes typically transmit more light

i never installed the gamo scope that came with my big cat . i just took the mount off and used it on a better scope i already have . next gun show the gamo will be traded off , same as the cheep scopes that crosman sent . centerpoint makes good scopes and cheep scopes, crosman furnishes cheep centerpoint scopes . they always get to go to a gunshow and traded off

You can get a decent Centerpoint 3-9x32mm scope that is set for 35 yards at your local Wmart. If they don't stock it, then order it online, and they ship free to your store. They cost around 50.00 with rings. Really not a bad buy for the $$$... If you wanna go higher, then look at the leapers 5th Generation, or Accushot series of scopes. Good Luck to U.

The Gamo scope that came with my Whisper Classic did not last long....a few days & it went out of focus...crosshairs got fuzzy. I replaced it with my buddies RWS scope & a few hundred rounds later it's still doing perfect ! If it dies then 'm going Leapers!
